In three months, a lot might happen in Mary Lou and Rob Brady’s life. To begin with, Mary might have made some positive progress towards her recovery. This is something that will be triggered by the strengths that are associated with the two individuals. Mary is described as having a positive outlook and this means that she will be ready to indulge in things that are likely to make her life better since she has a belief system that inculcates positivity.
The other aspect is based on how Rob loves his wife. The love that he holds for his wife will be a driving force towards taking all the necessary steps in making her recovery something feasible. He will be her support system and encourage her to take all the relevant steps toward recovery. The fact that Mary is willing to communicate her concerns will make it even more feasible.
Within this period, Mary will need extra support at home given that she cannot function on her own. Given the inherent financial needs, Rob will continue working. As a result, Mary will get support from a third party as Rob will only be with her after work. Both Mary and Rob have families that are willing and are available to assist and support where necessary. This means that finding care will not be a big issue. However, there are things that they will have to learn in order to provide her with quality care.
Despite the progress that is expected within these three months, there is also a concern. First, Mary is in college and she aspires to complete her degree. At this point, this is something that she cannot actualize. Coupled with the fact that she now has to be taken care of, she might start seeing as if she is becoming a burden to her loved ones. This is something that might lead her to depression. As a result, there is a necessity to assess her potential psychosocial needs while addressing the physical needs.
